Ricky L. Engebretson, AIA, NCARB, Fargo, ND, is a member of the North Dakota State Board of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, currently serving his second six-year term. Engebretson has served on NCARB committees over the last nine years: three years on the Committee on Professional Development, including one year as committee chair; two years on the Committee on Education; one year on the Practice Analysis Steering Committee; and three years on the Regional Chairs Committee. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors as the director for Region 5. He has also served as Region 5’s treasurer, vice president, and president for three consecutive terms.

Engebretson is the president and CEO of the RLE Group, which was founded in 1992. The RLE Group includes five individual firms under the RLE Group with services of architecture, construction, interior design, forensic architecture, and marketing. He graduated from North Dakota State University, holds the NCARB Certificate, and is registered in North Dakota and 19 other states. He also is a licensed real estate broker in North Dakota and Minnesota, and has a Class A General Contractor License in North Dakota.
