Step 1: Establish an NCARB Record Online

Step 2: Document Your IDP Eligibility Date
To document your IDP eligibility date, download the proper form and follow the instructions. The person(s) identified on the form must return the completed form directly to NCARB. You only need to complete one of the following forms to establish your IDP eligibility date. [more]

Step 3: Identify Your IDP Supervisor
Your IDP supervisor is the individual that works in your office who supervises and interacts with you on a daily basis. Your IDP supervisor will certify that the experience you document is true and correct.

Step 4: Identify Your Mentor
A mentor is a licensed architect who you feel will make a long-term commitment to  your professional growth.

Step 5: Document Your Experience
Use the electronic Experience Verification Reporting (e-EVR) system to document your experience directly into your NCARB Record at least every six months.

Step 6: Document Your Education
Download and mail the transcript request form and any fee to your schools. The school must return each transcript directly to NCARB.
