Reporting Requirements

All experience must be submitted online through the online reporting system.

To earn full credit for experience, interns must submit all experience including supplemental experience in reporting periods of no longer than six months and within two months of completion of each reporting period. Experience reported beyond the two-month filing period and up to five years after the date of the experience will be accepted at a reduced value of fifty percent (50%) toward the IDP requirements.

Provisions have been made for reasonable extensions to the two-month filing period. Extensions are available for the birth or adoption of a child, serious medical conditions, and active military service. [more]

Please note: Architects registered in a U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction documenting experience for the purpose of obtaining the NCARB Certificate are not subject to these reporting requirements when retroactively documenting their experience. However, they must document their experience through the online reporting system.
