AIA Continuing Education

Effective 1 July 2009

Interns whether or not employed in a qualified work setting, may earn supplementary education by completing AIA-approved continuing education resources and programs.

Prior to 1 July 2009
Interns employed in a recognized work setting may earn supplementary education training hours by completing AIA-approved continuing education resources and programs.

Reporting AIA Continuing Education

  • One AIA learning unit earns one IDP training hour (Effective 1 January 2010. Refer to the IDP Guidelines for AIA learning units earned prior to 1 January 2010). 
  • Completion of AIA Continuing Education shall be reported through the e-EVR in "My Supplementary Education."
  • An AIA transcript documenting completion of AIA-approved resources must be uploaded to the e-EVR.
