Post Professional Degree

Earning a post-professional degree in architecture after earning a professional degree in architecture from a program accredited by NAAB or CACB. A post-professional degree in architecture received after 1 July 2002, earns 936 training hours in IDP training category D. Credit hours must be in subjects evaluated by NCARB as directly related to architecture.

Reporting Post-Professional Degrees

  1. Download and mail the transcript request forms and any fee to your school(s).
  2. Each transcript must be returned directly to NCARB by the school. NCARB will only accept transcripts submitted by the school. 
  3. In addition to requesting an official transcript, you are required to report your post-professional degree through the e-EVR in “My Supplementary Education.” This report must comply with the requirements of the Six-Month Rule.
  4. You will be required to upload a copy of your transcript or diploma to the e-EVR.
  5. NCARB will not be able to approve your post-professional degree until after the official transcript from your school has been received.
  6. You can monitor your NCARB Record status at My NCARB Record. You will also receive an e-mail notification confirming receipt of your official transcript from your school.
