Imagine the energy and innovation that occurs when practitioners, educators, and students come together and connect to form an inspired team. The possibilities are endless! This panel discussion highlights the benefits of this unique collaboration. Integration of practice and the academy brings much-needed relevance to projects that might otherwise be purely hypothetical, and it provides a platform to potentially serve communities in need. Through case studies, the panel—an architect, an educator, and a student—will illustrate projects that shifted the traditional learning environment from the studio to the community. The discussion will focus on the panelists' unique experiences and how their experiences can be applied to other contexts.
