Student to Architect: The Path to Licensure (NCARB Video)

Earning a license to practice architecture is an important milestone in an architect’s career. To help students and interns learn to navigate the process, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) has released a short video on YouTube explaining the importance of licensure and the requirements involved.

Narrated by architects on NCARB staff, “Student to Architect: The Path to Licensure” discusses the essential components of earning a license: education, experience, and examination. The video includes a brief overview of degrees from NAAB-accredited programs, the Intern Development Program (IDP), and the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®). It also discusses the benefits of the NCARB Certificate and the importance of mobility in the profession.
