Last week, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 105 of its members to its College of Fellows. Two NCARB volunteers were included in this year’s inductees.
Andrew T. Laguaña, FAIA, was honored for his leadership of a related professional organization. He served on the Guam Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, Architects, and Land Surveyors from 2003-2011. He also served NCARB’s Western Conference (Region 6), which he was elected vice chair and chair.
Brenda A. Sanchez, FAIA, was honored for her work in government/industry. She is a current member and former chair of the District of Columbia Board of Architecture and Interior Design. She has served on several NCARB committees and was chair of NCARB’s Middle-Atlantic Conference (Region 2) from 2008-2010.
