Minneapolis, MN—On day three of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Annual Meeting, delegates elected officers for FY13 and voted on 10 resolutions related to the business procedures and requirements.
FY13 NCARB President/Chair of the Board Ronald B. Blitch, FAIA, FACHA, addressed delegates and shared his vision for the coming year. He underscored that the next year will be guided by feedback received from blue-sky discussions, known as “Horizon 20/20,” a reference to 2020 and to having a clear, 20/20 view toward the future. “Our focus on Horizon 20/20 is keeping us on a forward path. FY13 Board of Directors
The NCARB Board of Directors will have three new members in FY13. Christopher P. Williams, AIA, NCARB, from Meredith, NH, is the new director of Region 1; David L. Hoffman, FAIA, NCARB, from Wichita, KS, is the new director of Region 5; and Gregory L. Erny, AIA, NCARB, from Reno, NV, is the new director of Region 6. [FY13 NCARB Board of Directors]
Past President Kenneth J. Naylor; Director, Region 5 Ricky L. Engebretson; and Director, Region 6 Jon Alan Baker were recognized for their service on the NCARB Board of Directors.
2012 NCARB Resolutions
Fifty-two of 54 NCARB Member Boards were present to vote on 10 resolutions. [more]
Updated NCARB Bylaws, Certification Guidelines, Legislative Guidelines, and Rules of Conduct reflecting the changes voted on at the Annual Meeting will be available in July.
