Educators: Submit your innovative ideas

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is pleased to announce the 2014 NCARB Award for the Integration of Practice and Education. Up to $75,000 will be available for up to three Awards. [Download application]

2014 Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 30 September 2014, 5 p.m. EDT

The NCARB Award supports the efforts of architecture programs to create and implement new, innovative, for-credit curricular approaches that raise awareness about issues central to practice, such as the architect's responsibility for public health, safety, and welfare. The Awards are intended to address specific areas in which the academy can bridge the gap between education and practice and better prepare students for internships and future careers as architects. [Submission Requirements]

Previous recipients have:

  • Distinguished their curricula through innovative programming;
  • Earned peer recognition for projects that can serve as models
for other schools;
  • Used courses developed through Award funding to support
NAAB accreditation; and
  • Secured new funding after successfully implementing Award-funded initiatives.

NCARB Award recipients will be announced in November 2014.
