About the Author

I’ve been with NCARB’s communication’s team since late 2005. In my early days, I worked on our internal staff newsletter and our external newsletters like the IDP and ARE e-News. Now, I mostly focus on larger campaigns, communications for our 54 Member Boards, and managing our website. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin before attending Penn State University, where I earned a degree in journalism. Halfway through college I realized I was a few courses short of an architectural history minor, so I decided to pursue it as a second minor—good thing I did, because it is was one of the things that stood out on my resume when I interviewed for my first position at NCARB.
