The pass rates, by division, for
all candidates (first-time and repeat) who took the ARE are listed
above. Data are the most recent available from Thomson Prometric,
NCARBs testing consultant.
As developed by the National Council of Architectural Registration
Boards, the ARE assesses a candidates knowledge, skills, and
abilities to provide the various services required in the practice
of architecture. It has been adopted for use by all U.S. registration
boards and the Canadian provincial architectural associations as
the registration examination for all candidates seeking architectural
licensing.
For more information about the Architect Registration Examination,
contact NCARBs Professional Development directorate at 202/783-6500
or visit the ARE section of the
NCARB web site.
