In its purest sense, architecture is a profession
without boundaries. Take away an architect's mobility and
you take away one of the hallmarks of the field. With "reciprocity,"
a registered architect in one jurisdiction can apply for registration
in another jurisdiction by presenting documentation (or having
NCARB process and present documentation) that he/she meets
that jurisdiction's registration requirements.
To request a transmittal of your NCARB
Council Record to a particular jurisdiction in the U.S.
or
Canada, see the Record Services
Log-on page.
Both registration
boards and NCARB play important roles when overseeing
the reciprocity process.
