From June 6 to 8, thousands of architects from across the country will gather in Las Vegas for the 2019 AIA Conference on Architecture—and we’re going to be there! This year, NCARB will have two booths in the expo hall, with fun giveaways and resources that will help you advance your career.
NCARB Booth (#5321)
Stop by our NCARB booth to reflect on next steps in your architecture career and explore how NCARB’s programs and services can help you achieve them.
Chat With Our Experts
NCARB staff will be answering questions and providing updates on recent program changes, including new pathways to NCARB certification and more. Come learn more about our efforts to support licensure candidates and architects. Plus, representatives from the Nevada Board will be on hand to answer questions about earning a license in Nevada.
We’ll be giving out some amazing prizes each day, so check out our booth to be entered for your chance to win—plus, we’ll be handing out new goodies each day! One winner will be chosen each day (two total winners) from the attendees who have their badges scanned by NCARB staff. View the contest rules [PDF]. Winners can choose one of the following:
- One seat credit for a division of the ARE 5.0
- One NCARB Record application or annual renewal
- One NCARB Certificate annual renewal
- One NCARB Certificate application.
Centennial Booth (#5325)
As part of our Centennial celebration, we will also have a Centennial Booth to highlight important milestones throughout our past, present, and future.
As a special treat, we will be revealing our traveling exhibit to the public for the first time during the A’19 Conference. The exhibit will showcase NCARB’s rich history and provide a snapshot of the regulation of the profession, the evolution of national standards, and the importance of licensure.
Our Centennial Booth will also be part of a special scavenger hunt. You can visit participating booths in the expo hall to collect stamps on your card, which you can use to enter into a prize drawing. Find our logo and booth number on the card included in your conference bag, and pay us a visit!
Attend Our Workshop
We will be hosting a workshop titled “Professional Ethics: Going Further Than the Code,” where you will be able to explore situations that, if not addressed appropriately, could create ethical violations that may lead to professional sanctions.
This session will engage participants in small-group activities as they dissect case studies from the profession and measure others’ behavior against the AIA Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, as well as the rules and regulations of licensing boards.
The workshop will feature the following speakers:
- Jared Zurn, AIA, NCARB, Vice President of Examination
- Alfred Vidaurri, FAIA, NCARB, AICP, NCARB Vice President
- Jim Mickey, AIA, NCARB, Nevada Board Member
- Roxanne Alston, Vice President of Customer Relations
Please join us on Saturday, June 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., in the Westgate Las Vegas, Ballroom B, located at 3000 Paradise Road.
Meet With our Collateral Organizations
Do you have questions about architectural education, accreditation, or EESA? Representatives from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) will be at the NCARB booth sharing answers and insight during select times each day.
On Friday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to noon, stop by to connect with fellow architecture students at the NCARB booth. Join leadership from the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) to ask questions, network, and more.
