The application deadline has been extended to Monday, January 21. There are only 15 open spots—apply for the Hip Hop Architecture Camp today!
Do you know any middle school students who are interested in hip hop music, architecture, or design? Encourage them to apply for the Hip Hop Architecture Camp from February 18-22, 2019.
During this FREE, five-day camp, students are paired with architects, designers, and artists to:
- Analyze themes and patterns in hip-hop music
- Explore the history of architecture and urban planning
- Build models using LEGOs®, Autodesk® Tinkercad™, and 3D printing
- Visit the National Building Museum and National Museum of African American History and Culture (pending government shutdown)
- Write music about their designs. The winning song will be developed into a music video!
The DC Hip Hop Architecture Camp is sponsored by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and Autodesk, with generous support from the National Building Museum and National Museum of African American History and Culture.
