Margaret (Meg) S. Parsons

Margaret (Meg) S. Parsons, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, ALEP, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the past chair of Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design, a 21-person interdisciplinary board with five public members. She has served on the Minnesota Board since 2016. Parsons has served as chair of NCARB’s Region 4 and was elected the region's director in 2022. She has also served on numerous NCARB committees including the Diversity Collaborative, the AXP Review Audit Team, the Interiors Task Force, the Interior Architecture Work Group, the ARE 5.0 Test Prep Advisory Group, and the Internship Advisory Committee. She has also served as a Think Tank Juror. Parsons has been an active volunteer with AIA Minnesota and is the chair of the Board of her company.

Parsons is a principal at Cuningham Group Architecture, a 260-person firm with six offices. Since 1989, she has specialized in educational projects, with a focus on innovative learning environments and has been active in a wide range of projects from high schools to elementary schools, from pre-referendum planning through construction. Her expertise is in assisting schools and districts in their facility planning and community engagement. Parsons is an Accredited Learning Environment Professional (ALEP) through the Association for Learning Environments. She holds an NCARB Certificate and is licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maryland, Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Nevada, and Wyoming.
