Terry L. Allers, AIA, NCARB, Fort Dodge, IA, served as a member of the Iowa Architectural Examining Board for nine years, serving as chair for several terms. His volunteer work with NCARB includes service on the Audit, Broadly Experienced Architect, Education, Examination, Experience, and Experience Advisory committees, as well as terms as secretary/treasurer and vice chair of Region 4. Allers was elected as second vice president at the 2017 NCARB Annual Business Meeting in Boston. He has also represented NCARB on the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accreditation teams since 2009, having served as a visiting team member on three visits and as chair of a fourth visiting team.
Allers is president of Allers Associates Architects, PC, which he founded in 1979. He has been an NCARB Certificate holder and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) since 1974. The architect served on the Iowa Chapter of the AIA Board of Directors for three years and has been on numerous AIA committees. He has also been an active volunteer in the Fort Dodge community and was recognized by the Fort Dodge Area Chamber of Commerce with the Catalyst Award in 2012. Allers is a graduate of Iowa State University and is licensed in Iowa and Minnesota.
