This week, delegates from the U.S. architectural licensing boards will gather to discuss issues facing the regulation of the profession at our 99th Annual Business Meeting in Detroit. This three-day event invites board members from across the country to reflect on our common goals, efforts, and purpose as we shape NCARB's agenda for the coming years.
Why You Should Care About the Annual Business Meeting
At the 2018 Annual Business Meeting, we’ll be reflecting on NCARB’s new and updated programs, celebrating our achievements, and determining our primary goals for the year ahead. Over the next 12 months, members of your state’s licensing board will work with architecture professionals and NCARB staff to address the strategic issues highlighted at this year’s meeting.
In Detroit, attendees will have the chance to learn about our evolving programs and services through business sessions and workshops, meet with colleagues and NCARB staff, vote on four resolutions, elect new officers, and look toward the future of architectural regulation.
Your state board members are at the forefront of the profession, and the decisions they make will affect the future of NCARB, the architectural community, and you. The meeting’s workshops and sessions will provide them with essential resources to guide them as they regulate your jurisdiction’s practice of architecture.
With NCARB’s Centennial Celebration just around the corner, we are excited to take advantage of this opportunity to explore new horizons for our community.
