From June 20-22, delegates from the U.S. architectural licensing boards will gather to discuss issues facing the regulation of the profession at our Centennial Annual Business Meeting in Washington, DC. This important three-day event invites board members from across the country to lay the foundation for the future of NCARB, elect new officers, and reflect on our evolution over the past 100 years.
Why You Should Care About the Centennial Annual Business Meeting
At the Centennial Meeting, we’ll be highlighting NCARB’s current initiatives, celebrating our rich history, and planning our primary goals for next year and beyond. Over the next 12 months, members of your jurisdiction’s licensing board will work with architecture professionals and NCARB staff to address the strategic issues highlighted at this year’s meeting.
In DC, attendees will have a first chance to view NCARB’s new Strategic Plan, participate in workshops to learn about our evolving programs and services, share board insights and perspectives with colleagues, and hear updates from leadership about critical issues on the horizon.
Your board members are at the forefront of the profession, and the decisions they make will affect the future of NCARB, the architectural community, and you. The meeting’s workshops and sessions will provide them with essential resources to guide them as they help shape and regulate your jurisdiction’s practice of architecture.
As we celebrate 100 years of protecting the public, we look forward to taking advantage of this opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments (facilitated by hundreds of volunteers), highlight important milestones, and plan for pursuing NCARB’s mission and goals in the next century.
