NCARB’s Marketing & Communications Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a Visual Designer. The Visual Designer is primarily responsible for implementing the artistic direction of the Council through the development of digital, print and environmental design creations. This includes designing web-based graphics, social media assets, publications, animations, audio and video, or other multi-media production to support NCARB’s marketing and communications activities.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a passionate graphic designer, committed to creativity and professional growth, and thrives in a highly collaborative environment. This individual will ensure that design styles and principles are aligned with a holistic design direction, and consistently implemented across various communications. Other creative could include promotional flyers, presentations, direct mail, signage, and support for animation and video projects.
Qualifications
At a minimum, you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or related field; or, combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute.
- 3 or more years of relevant graphic design experience in digital and print design production, video marketing production or related field that includes collaborating with other design professionals.
- Proven problem-solving skills and superior communication skills when presenting rationale for design concepts to internal audiences.
- Ability to think big picture and strategically while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; and a customer-centric focus.
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Acrobat.
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Some minimal travel including weekends may occasionally be required.
Ideally you also have experience with:
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.
- Experience with front-end web design, motion graphics, and video marketing & production is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of multi-channel, integrated communication campaigns is preferred.
- Photography skills preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro a bonus.
