Find Your Local Advisor With Our Lookup Tool

Our Licensing Advisor Lookup Tool can help you find someone near you who can walk you through the path to licensure.

Architect licensing advisors are professionals, educators, and students who volunteer their time to help others pursue licensure. These advisors often provide candidates with their first glimpse into the licensure process and lend help along the way. National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited architecture programs, student organizations (including the American Institute of Architecture Students, or AIAS), and American Institute of Architects (AIA) state chapters appoint licensing advisors who receive NCARB resources and training to prepare them to support candidates along their path to licensure—but you can also find licensing advisors through local firms or professionals just interested in helping candidates.

Our advisor lookup tool allows you to find contact information for licensing advisors. Having trouble finding an advisor listed for your school or AIA component? Please contact your school or chapter leadership and inquire about who is in this role. To help your chapter or school determine how to appoint an advisor, share the position description with them!

To use the licensing advisor tool:

  1. Select your jurisdiction.
  2. Fill in any additional details you would like to specify, such as your organization or the advisor type you are looking for.
  3. The licensing advisor tool will generate results based on the information you provide. You can sort the results by name or jurisdiction.
  4. You can contact licensing advisors using the email address provided in the tool.
