  • How do I change my jurisdiction for initial licensure?
    <p>To change the jurisdiction where you are seeking initial licensure, you will need to <a href="https://www.ncarb.org/contact-us">contact us</a>. Before you do, please <a href="https://www.ncarb.org/get-licensed/licensing-requirements-tool">research the requirements</a> of the jurisdiction you intend to switch to. If you are actively testing, keep in mind that exam eligibility requirements and the eligibility application process vary by jurisdiction. Not all jurisdictions allow NCARB to open eligibilities.</p>
  • I passed the ARE. What happens next?
    <p>In most cases, if you have met the requirements for education, experience, and examination for initial licensure, we will evaluate and transmit your Record in approximately 15 business days. We will notify you via email before transmitting your Record to your requested jurisdiction. If your jurisdiction has additional requirements, you may have to complete those requirements before becoming licensed.</p>
